From the beautiful setting of The Old Chapel in Balderton, Chapel Violins School of Violin Making provides a range of violin making and restoration courses of varying length and structure to suit the many requirements of our students.

The courses we offer provide you with a range of valuable skills and experience in violin making and restoration that are tailored to meet your needs and goals. We believe that it is important for your learning experience to be both rewarding and enjoyable, and that you are able to successfully achieve your ambitions through the course.

All of our lecturers have many years experience in the violin making trade in combination with being experienced and qualified teachers. We are friendly and approachable, and in our workshop we cultivate an atmosphere of support, encouragement and enthusiasm for everyone to achieve their very best.

The Old Chapel workshop has extensive resources and facilities that are important for teaching traditional violin making methods. In addition we have incorporated modern technology to make the teaching easily accessible to everyone and to support further research and learning.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything about the courses, you are welcome to contact us by email or by phone on +44 (0)1636 650788.

We have regular open days and we can arrange for you to visit The Old Chapel where you can view the facilities and discuss the courses with us. Please ask for John Gosling
